Ahh. Summer

It's finally here...Summer.

Summer is defiantly my favorite time of the year which is strange to me because it is one of the shortest seasons here in Northern Minnesota. (Fall and spring weather count as the same type of season haha. Wet, colder, leaves, and occasional snow! )

Zack has been working at Hugo's, and been doing well there. The RIGHT people like him there at work, got a raise and was bumped up to assistant manager of produce fairly quick. I am working from home as much as I can with my starting up photography business. Its an exciting job, and I love it. It has its challenges especially while being a full time stay at home mommy. Giving the right amount of attention to my work and Kylyn can be tricky at times.

I love the warm air,the green grass...to to mention the smell of fresh cut grass. ahh I love it. Thunderstorms, and rain, fairs, and all the other awesome activities summer has to offer.

Kylyn is a ball of energy! A 1 yr old with the energy, speed, and determination of a 3-4 year old. she keeps Zack and I on our toes all the time. Poor kid trips falls, bumps into stuff, all of which she could easily avoid if she just slowed down a bit. haha (I have been told she is just like me when I was this age) Shes always fun to have though. Talks all the time now, starting to mumble out some sentences, and words. There are times when I just love showing off how smart she is in comparison to other children her age. She knows and can identify her hair, nose, eyes, ears, neck, armpit, elbow, tummy, belly button, butt, knees, feet, toes, arms, legs, shoes, socks, the list goes on and on...she can say NO now. haha 'Its me' and/or 'its you' when she sees a picture, can say grandma and grandpa, mommy and daddy, juice, drink, butt, neck, cookies, cake, no, (cant say 'yes' but can nod and mouth the word. haha don't understand why) cheese for a camera, hi, see ya, bubbye, toes, eyes, ear, hair, outside, sky, plane, doggy, puppy, kitty, baby. The list keeps going!! You can point to a dog and ask her what its called and its sound and she knows its a doggy or puppy and that it barks...

Its exciting to me to see my daughter learning, and she seems to like it! At times she is WAY to independent, and fits begin to be thrown in all directions, but I truly think its because she wants to do more then she can, and it frustrates her.

In June we tried her in a toddler bed and she loves it! We are gonna start or try AGAIN with potty training. Want her potty trained for sure by this winter even if it kills me! She loves being a 'big girl' and getting dolled up, necklaces, and bracelets are her favorite along with my high heels. LOVES trying on shoes; hers, mine, daddies, or any visitors. My dad always calls her an "advanced child" which i agree with 100%!!

Enough about Kylyn. Summer is busy busy busy. Worked two weddings one weekend after each other, and had a blast! One of Zack and Is better friends Rob and Sarah got married in June which was exciting because it gave me a chance to practice up on wedding photography, had a great time photographing with another good friend of mine Tiffany Landaw the woman who did Zack and I's wedding pictures!
